Eclipse

Eclipse  is referred to only as “Eclipse” throughout the second part of the story. His true identity is unknown and mainly unimportant until the third part of the story. Eclipse wears a black/grey face mask, and when he talks his voice sounds slightly synthetic. He is a mysterious, evil, dark, and cunning character.

Eclipse’s Powers: Eclipse’s powers should not be underestimated. They are seen in their fullness towards the end of part two, during the Battle of Primus. Eclipse has a horrible vein of hatred running through his soul. He is very cold and is concerned only with power. He emits an air of evilness and despair. All who surround him are polluted by it. His gaze can pierce your mind, reading your thoughts, turning your fears against you. He can project thoughts into the minds of others.

(...[CTRL-A] FOR SPOILERS...) Power is Eclipse’s driving motivation- and with the mystical powers he holds, galactic domination could very well be within his grasp. Nova is the only one who might have been able to stop him, But she is eliminated by Eclipse at the end of part two.

During part one, the Ivitrans make several small attacks against unification interests. They seem unorganized, however, until the end of part one. Eclipse is to become the true “Emperor” of our story. He eventually becomes infatuated not only with killing Jacob, but everyone Jacob cares about. Eclipse wants to completely destroy any happiness Jacob might have and any hope he has for a future, starting with Nova. Eclipse wants Jacob completely wiped from existence.
