Over a millennium ago, they launched a devastating anti-genesis device, which began to de-evolve Earth and cause a new ice age. They returned to their own dimension thinking that the humans had been defeated, not to be seen again.
The basis of this war was lost to history after the abandonment of Ancient Earth. Their hatred towards humans still exists and they use the shadow council to wage war against the humans once again. Perhaps future story lines will reveal more about the destruction of ancient earth and the nature of this mysterious alliance.
(...[CRTL-A] FOR SPOILERS...) They agree to redevelop a weapon for the shadow council and Ivitrans who use it to destroy the humans and eventually plan to use it to destroy the Aldarian realm as well.
