The reckoning of time is measured in years since the first light drive left Earth to visit a neighboring star system. The old system of A.D. and B.C. were replaced by Anno Astrum or A.A. meaning “in the year of the star” and Antegredior or A.G. which means quite literally “of antecedent causes.”
The first Aldarian took the throne in A.A. 609. The Great Purge took place in A.A. 916. Revin was born in A.A. 976. The events of our story take place in the late 990’s just prior to the 1000th anniversary of the flight of the Condor, the first long distance FTL starship in 2151, manned by none other than Arch Jonathan.
