Nova, Aldarian Lore Mage. Apprentice to the Oracle.

Nova has lived in the shadow of her dead father, Dharkerius. General Dharkerius was a famous war hero who died in the Ivitran War. She was watched over by her brother Faculous. Nova is tall and thin. Nova will develop other mystic powers as the story progresses. She can heal the body and soul of another person with just a touch. She has a great capacity to love. She is very kind and compassionate.
At the beginning of the story, Nova is the Apprentice to the Oracle. During the great purge she was the lone Aldarian survivor on Galaxia Prime. She fought in the Purge War with great zeal, and was stranded in the mortal realm along with the Oracle. She believes that the humans are the greatest threat that has ever existed. She watched as many of her friends in the Royal City were killed. She resents humans, and has a great distaste for them. Despite her great hatred for humans, she is still a very caring individual. Her ability to love is unconditional. When she makes a promise she keeps it.
Nova's magic has been tainted by using the Gate of the Ancients. This taint does two things, it makes her magic incredibly strong and unpredictable at times. The taint, however, is slowly turning her mind against her. Part of what drives the story in part one, is the search for a way to reverse the taint that threatens her.
Nova is the glue that holds this entire story together. Without her there would literally be no story, just a tale of some lonely guy who became King and never knew how badly his life really sucked. During the course of the story, Rev and Nova grow close.
Nova’s purpose in this story is to represent the power of emotion, and the strength that an entire Family can receive from one person’s presence- and the destruction its immediate absence can bring.

Nova will eventually fall in love with, and marry Jacob at the end of part one. This sets up the reader to believe that there will be a happy ending to this story, which, of course, there cannot be. Nova is captured and tortured by the J’Tahr Council and the Alliance. She is captured at the end of part one by a new character called known only as Eclipse. Some bit of mystery will surround her death since the only evidence of her death is found in a holo-recording released by the Shadow council and Eclipse.
In a typical story of this type, the hero saves the girl at the end. I have decided to throw out this old recycled bit of storyline. this is a story about loss and loneliness, and how one man deals with it. Do not be afraid, however, the story does eventually end on a happy note. You just have to bear with it. Real life sucks. It is how we deal with life's downturns that marks the quality of our personality. You can either give up and crawl into a hole, or move on and demand happiness. How we deal with loss is, in many ways, more important than how we deal with anything else. It is the defining point of one's existence.
