Legends attribute great magical powers to two mystical stones. The stories say that when the stones are reunited, they will be the key to unlocking great power.
One stone, the only one ever found, is green, rough, and triangular. It is worn by the King, and has become a symbol of royalty. It's origins as an actual primus stone is disputed by many.
The other stone, unknown in shape or color has never been seen.
The power of the united Primus stones, say the legends, may only to be used by the pure of heart. The Primus kings had been anything but pure of heart for hundreds of years

The Forgotten Altar
The Altar was an attempt by the five great ancient mages to manipulate time. The experiment was ultimately a failure. The Aldarian mages discovered that they lacked the type of magic required to properly attune the Altar. Before they could finish the project the mind sickness set in and the mages began to go insane from traveling through the Gate of the Ancients.
It is assumed that when properly attuned by one with the right magics, the altar will allow one to teleport to any point in time, to any place and back within the mortal realm.
The altar was called the Altar of Time by the Ancient mages who built and designed it.

The Gate of the Ancients
Long ago the Gate of the Ancients, or Death Gate, was created by the ancient mages. The gate was created back during the first age by five of the greatest mages in the Aldarians’ history. The plan was to use the gate to travel to the mortal realm, and create permanent magic portals that would allow others to travel back and forth more freely.
Repeated use of the gate by the mages and their apprentices caused two unfortunate side effects: Over time the gate tainted the magic of the travelers, causing their magic to become volatile and powerful. This in and of itself was not a great threat as long as the mages could control themselves. Unfortunately, the second side effect is that they went insane and began to wreak havoc. The council decided the mages’ magic would be stripped from them, something never done before or since. Knowledge of what happened to the mages after the stripping ritual has been lost to time.
The gate was deemed too dangerous to use. It could not be destroyed for its magic was too powerful so it was decided to entrust it to the Oracle who watches over it. It contains powerful magic which transcends space and time. It is kept in a locked room in the temple that only the Oracle and her Apprentice know about. The gate only exists in the realm of the Aldar.
